Why This Site Exists

Signal Provider Reviews was founded in 2024 to answer a question almost every retail trader eventually asks and almost no one can answer honestly: of the hundreds of services selling trading signals, which ones can actually prove their results — and which are marketing a story?

The problem we set out to solve is structural. Most "best signal provider" lists are ranked by affiliate commission, not by verified performance. The provider that pays the highest referral fee lands at the top; the provider with the strongest independently audited track record may not appear at all, because it runs no affiliate programme. A reader following one of those lists is reading an advertisement dressed as editorial. We built this publication to be the opposite of that — a ranking where the only thing that moves a provider up or down the table is the evidence behind its claims.

Since our first rankings in 2024 we have built and maintained a 100-provider table, scored every entry against the same six criteria, and published the investigations and methodology behind every position. The full machine-readable dataset is available as JSON-LD, and every reported performance figure is traceable to a named source on our Data Sources page.

How We Stay Independent

Our independence is not a slogan; it is built into how we are funded. This site carries no affiliate links anywhere. We have no commercial relationship with any of the 100 providers we rank — no referral fees, no sponsorship, no advertising, no paid placement. A provider cannot pay to be listed, pay to rank higher, or pay to have negative coverage removed.

Because the providers do not fund us, we are funded the other way around: by readers. Our work is supported by subscriptions to our email briefings — the investigations and quarterly scorecard updates traders sign up for at the foot of every page. That funding model deliberately points our incentives at the reader, not at the companies under review. If our rankings stopped being trustworthy, readers would stop subscribing, so accuracy is the product. We document this funding model here, and we restate the no-affiliate position at the foot of every review on the site.

Who Writes The Rankings

The rankings are produced by the Signal Provider Reviews Editorial Board — a team of working traders, performance analysts, and editorial staff who have collaborated on the scoring process since the publication was founded in 2024. We work as a board, not as a single named columnist, so that no individual relationship with a provider can tilt a score.

We do not publish the personal names of individual contributors. This is a deliberate policy: it insulates scorers from provider pressure and lobbying, and it keeps the focus on the evidence and the methodology rather than on personalities. We describe the board by role instead:

Each role operates under explicit conflict-of-interest, corrections, and disclosure policies, and every performance number is verified before publication against sources including the World Cup Trading Championships, BarclayHedge, HFR, and SEC filings. The full statement of standards, the conflict-of-interest policy, and how to reach the team directly are set out on the editorial board page.

How Rankings Work

We score providers using six equally weighted criteria, each out of 5 stars. The overall score is the unweighted average of all six.

Verified Performance

Independently audited track record from recognised bodies.

Signal Clarity

Structured entry/exit, stop loss, take profit, and conviction levels.

Risk Management

Position sizing guidance, drawdown limits, systematic stops.

Transparency

Methodology shared, losses shown, complete signal history.

Value for Money

Cost relative to verified quality and proof coverage.

Subscriber Experience

Platform quality, delivery speed, support, and education.

Review Guidelines

Community submissions are moderated. We reject reviews that appear fake, overly promotional, or that don't demonstrate actual use of the service. Providers cannot pay to be listed, improve their score, or be removed.

Corrections & Contact

Errors happen, and when we identify one we correct it publicly and promptly. Factual corrections, conflict-of-interest concerns, and methodology questions can be sent to the editorial team through our submission form. We hold corrections to the same standard we hold publication: verifiable, sourced, and accurate.
